Rediscovering this topic and wanted to add my two cents. I think more older women date younger men because they now have the financial freedom and confidence to choose partners who match their energy, and society’s view of gender roles is loosening. The couples I’ve seen cite emotional maturity and good communication over age. Does anyone feel the stigma is fading, or still strong?
 
Seeing more older women with younger guys makes sense when you consider that financial independence gives women the freedom to pick partners who boost confidence and bring fresh energy, while shifting gender roles make the age gap feel less odd. I ran a standards calc to check my own expectations and it reminded me how personal taste, not social labels, drives these matches.
