This is now a big news on the Taiwanese online community.

A group of 16 Taiwanese tourists visited an Italian pizza store. The shop owner recored the video to shame them because they ordered only five pizzas.

"Look. This is insane. They are Chinese or Japanese? There are now 16 Chinese people here. Do you know how many pizzas they are eating? Only five. Let me show you."

"Fabrizio, how many fuc*ing Chinese do we have now? 16? Yes 16. How many pizzas are they eating? 4 or 5? I can't remember. Let me show you. Look. Hello! Where are you from? China? You must be chinese. Oh Taiwan!"

Taiwanese people complained in the commenet section, so he deleted the video.

Responses are like

"There are still many racists, but Taiwaneses are so naive."

"Look at the pizza shovel. It is on the floor. Disgusting. I thought it is a restaurant in India."

As a Taiwanese living in Europe, I would like to add Italy is one of the most racist countries against Asians. It is so normalized to make fun of Asians and treat Asians unfairly in the stores or restaurants. This rarely happens in UK.
 
Asian like to share strange exotic food. Its the culture. Normally start with 5 pizzas, then maybe something else added on later. And it goes on and on.

What you say reminds me of a regular group of sinkie Indians dining at Tze Char shop at the kopitiam near my place. I have observed them for some time. They would always order a few dishes. Then with beer and their self brought hard liquor. After that finishes then order another few dishes and so on.

Exactly. But you cannot do this in time restricted diners like in japan and hong kong.
 
in italy each freshly made pizza is typically only 6.9 inches in diameter unlike the 12-inch pizza they’ll find at pizza hut. they don’t expect diners to share pizzas which are personally made for each one, although they’re ok with 3 to 4 sharing slices from 2 pizzas. if these taiwanese are stingy and or want to share, at least get 8 as a minimum. occupying a large table or squeezing into a few tables deprive other diners of being seated down. once seated diners usually have the entire table or tables for the whole evening.

hanor, wait till these budget tiongs come here - with 4 of them sharing either an exotic paratha or roti john which brings "sharing is loving" to a whole new level. a dinner of instant noodles in the hotel room awaits :cautious:
