An Australian woman who allegedly stole from a shop at Changi Airport in April was arrested in November when she returned to Singapore as a transit passenger.

The 51-year-old is suspected of swiping a box of supplements, valued at $507.30, from the display shelf of a Guardian outlet in the transit area of Changi Airport Terminal 1.

The police said in a statement that they were alerted to the case of shop theft on May 7.

With the help of CCTV footage, officers established the identity of the woman, who was seen allegedly leaving the store with the unpaid item on April 14.

She was apprehended on Nov 2 while in transit for another flight and will be charged in court on Wednesday (Nov 12) for theft in dwelling.

If convicted, she faces a jail term of up to seven years, or a fine, or both.

The police stressed that it takes a serious view of shop theft cases, and offenders will be firmly dealt with in accordance with the law.

Knn..
Nowadays travelling to Singapore is very dangerous for criminal.
But anyway not all Ang mo are Great Ang mo to start with, some has the Traits of PRC embedded inside.

So Singapore should bring and exterminate the PRC Toxic.

Guardian camera only has her image with no name. How come police know her name?

Airport security unwillingly to disclose the method how they identify her, trade secret.
She can engage lawyer assistance IF she feels she is being wrong in this case.

Sinkapore is number 1. Don't play, play in Sinkapore. The arms of the law will get you, especially if you are not in the privilege list.

From other cctv to see which plane she boarded. Cross check with airline to determine who was wearing that same dress after boarding before takeoff. Or she could have made a purchase in other shops using credit card.

I believe this doesn't need high end tech de woh.

Every plane landing, be in transit flight, name list surely will be sent, in case got explosion, bombing etc.

After the shop leeported it, cctv are everywhere in airport. Once they know which plane she boarded her name can be found liao.
