PETALING JAYA: Members of the Baba Nyonya community in Melaka are now able to amend their ethnicity in their birth certificates to state their lineage.
Baba and Nyonya Association of Malaysia chairman Ronald Gan said the provision will be extended to Peranakan Chinese in the rest of the country from January.

He credited Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim and deputy unity minister K Saraswathy for playing a key part in this, saying Anwar has been pushing for this for over a decade, The Star reported.

Just let a Malay make babies with Chinese. Their offspring will be Peranakan.

the original peranakans are mongrels, tainted with malay blood. The later richer peranakans were never tainted and are pure chinese.
