Footwear outside Bedok flat mysteriously kept getting moved, resident installs CCTV and finds culprit​

Mystified to repeatedly find her footwear were not where she left them on the rack outside her flat, a Bedok resident decided to install CCTV cameras to solve the mystery.

What she discovered left Stomper JJ feeling... awkward.

"I am a resident of Bedok at New Upper Changi Road for more than 10 years," said the Stomper.

"Recently, my work shoes and slippers were moved a few times. I decided to install a 24-hour surveillance device outside my unit, and finally, I got an answer."

The Stomper shared CCTV footage taken on Oct 2 at about 5.15pm showing a woman bending down to pick up two pairs of footwear from a rack in a corridor outside a flat.

She then walked a few steps and appeared to place the footwear on another rack before walking away.

"This is my next-door neighbour who moved in about two years ago," said the Stomper.

"I have not made a police report. I'm not sure someone moving my shoes within my own premises requires a police report or not."

Asked whether she has talked to her neighbour about the incident, the Stomper replied no.

"Feeling awkward," she said.
