My pal, a grab driver, told me that more people take MRT to Changi airports instead of taking grab

Some business class travellers also opt to save cost by taking mrt trains

I am also unhappy that my newly recruited staff tend to bring baggage from their previous jobs to my company. LOL!

It is because less than 10% of S'poreans own cars, so taxi and PHV operators know that there are many ex-car owners whom they are able to fleece. These people find it inconvenient to take the MRT or bus with luggage in tow.
 
If only 1 luggage, can use mrt since easy & near for me. Come back with few luggages will take cab. However what used to be $12-13 for a long time has gone up to $25. For less than 20km, it's quite shocking.

That's true. The reliability of our public mrt transport is not good & i do not have confidence in the operator anymore. Then will surly miss the flight & commuters are not compensated.

If commuters intend to take the MRT to catch a flight, they should arrive the
night before and camp inside Jewel till the day of their flight out of S'pore.

Big deal. Back when I had to travel oveseas for reservist, I took my civilian luggage and duffel bag on the MRT ride to and from the airport. :rolleyes:

I aim to set aside enough money so that I can still afford a car after I retire; public transport is not dependable and definitely not world class in S'pore. Only lying politicians will dare to claim that SG has a world class transport system!

My uncle staying in the west said when he land at changi,he take train towards city then drop off to take taxi home. Taxi companies own self kill own self
