Financial: The useless ILP, and how to go about terminating it

Finally someone who has seen the light...unless it is saving for a kids University fees and the market tied to the unit trust is at or near an all time low, if not its just a farce to enrich agents
 
ILP insurance should have been banned worldwide a long time ago. It's an evil insurance scheme meant solely to suck maximum from policy holders with minimum returns (and mostly negative til maturity) and maximum incentives to insurance agents.
 
The ILP started quite a good policy. But maybe it involved to became a bad investment plus protection since payout no longer good.
If it is the case, just go for protection. Invest in other areas instead.
 
Sorry to necro this thread. Left a position in an advisory. And no, I am NOT an agent. Don't touch any ILP!!!!!!! Also, if the agents are young, they seriously BELIEVE they're helping people!!!!! They have these biweekly / monthly meeting to rein enforce the brainwashing!!!!!!!!!!!!! Get a proper salaried position !

After working there in a salaried position. All the things I read on reddit are largely true. Beyond hospitalisation, work accident/disability and maybe life plans, most of them are indeed socialpaths.
 
The best is they ask to see my portfolio in order to better advise me, I show mine without hiding a bit including my return and performance. Then I challenge them to show theirs, and I said the size and performance of their portfolio better be bigger and better than mine over the same timeframe, in order to give me advise they need to be in better position right? None of them dare, say it is confidential LOL. Yet got the face to say they are better informed to advise me LOL
 
ILP is for uneducated coolies who dunno or too lazy to research to invest. in this regard, they are better off than putting money in ponzi schemes or gambling it away
