They are all trying to make you get used to $18 Laksa and $20 Nasi Lemak.

IBIS is a hotel chain run by Accor Group.

There is another one at Metropolitan YMCA Stevens Road. The "Taste" brand belongs to Accor Group as well.
 
It's for the tourists and working class folks in that area.
