How China’s Semiconductor Revolution Will Change Global Technology Forever! What Next?

Tiongs wafer fab semiconductor still cmi leh. The vids mostly bs one just to gain view. They are making progressing but still sucks.

Their fab and R&D is actually to con more money out from govt subsidies programme. They are not into r&d, but to show to the government they are doing r&d. Then the government will send in the camera and media crew that they are progressing with the semiconductor industry.

But the ugly truth is that, all the purchases are being outsource to their own people. The bosses are using the subsidy to make more money out from other industry. Money should be put into r&d , but they just not the way how thing work in China.

ASML not happy losing 50% of their market because of US sanctions. I figured if china offered them higher price for those machinese, ASML will abandon US market and go along with China. It's a free market after all.

"I understand your concerns, but I think there are many talented creators and designers on the platform who are producing high-quality content. The fact that some people are making progress and improving their skills is a good sign. Let's focus on supporting these Tiongs who are making a genuine effort to share their ideas and talents."

Everyday application 70% do not need super cutting edge chips. Washing machine, coffee machine, TV, vacuum cleaner, air-conditioning, electric bicycle....all don't need smlj 3nm or 7nm or even 14nm

China now at above 7nm but low yield. Above 20nm very good, so they able to self suffer 70% everyday application

When you deal with the Tiong, it's never free market. It's either they will ask you to give more technical knowhow to transfer to China's market in order to obtain the profit or market share.

It's safer to stick with The west and American, simply because they respect intellectual property right. If you give the technical knowledge to china, they will actually open another shop next to you and the next month all your current staff will move next door.

China's SMIC is already making 5nm chips for Huawei using the SAQP process on DUV machines. Their 5nm chip is purportedly more efficient than TSMC's 5nm chip of 3 years ago.

But China needs EUV to go below 5nm, and ASML is barred by the US from selling its EUV lithograph machine to China. The key is: can China develop its own EUV technology from scratch (very, very difficult)... or can it find a way to manufacture ultra-thin chips using alternative technology (more feasible)?

However it turns out, China accounts for more than 50% of the world's legacy chip sales, and has enough DUV machines to continue churning out these chips down to 5nm. But to make major inroads into AI, the Chinese will have to find a way to make more powerful chips. Soon.
No EUV ? Can use direct write method mah

Without high end Resist and photo mask , EUV also cannot work de woh
