A police officer was sentenced to 10 years' jail on 17 July for his role in the fatal abuse of a young maid from Myanmar by his ex-wife and former mother-in-law. Staff Sergeant Kevin Chelvam, who has been suspended from the S'pore Police Force, was earlier convicted at trial in the case involving Ms Piang Ngaih Don, who died on 26 July 2016 after months of physical abuse.

Should be life imprisonment
The family's GP, Dr Grace Kwan had seen the Myanmar maid Piang Ngaih Don twice before her death. Once for a MOM check-up in January 2016, and the second time in May that same year. She described the maid’s limbs looking like they were just skin wrapping bone, and she had sunken eyes and cheeks which are obvious signs of starvation. Why did Dr Kwan only ask the employer and her mother if the maid had been given any food after she died? In my honest opinion, Dr Kwan should be charged by the police for not raising the alarm much earlier; the helper's life could have been saved.

The maid comes to sg to work and then die. This is exactly why many people cannot ascend to 5D. How in the world can you treat another person until the person die. I don't understand. confirm a meat eater.

Former police officer Kevin Chelvam, his ex-wife Gaiyathiri Murugayan and her mother Prema Naraynasamy behaved like beasts with absolutely no compassion towards their late Myanmar maid. In my honest opinion, people who behave like animals must be locked away like wild beasts.

And the two fucking tenants staying in the same flat as well.

kakilang ... kill human life oso no need pay back .... servants all have specials ... :whistling:

UNHCR should black mark SG as a potentially dangerous country for low ses foreign workers to seek employment

If you cannot treat a person as a human then never keep a maid
Bastards cannot do their own daily chores themselves get a maid then torture her to death
I have seen lots of maids who eat their meals sitting on the floor while their madam is at the table
These are the real terrorists
