Serious SQ hiring Hundreds CECA Pilots!

I believe there are real unlucky ones who had boarded their first plane and died from their maiden flight.
I have an acquaintance at my condo who was a fitness fanatic who exercised almost daily. He was as fit as a fiddle, but inexplicably had a cardiac arrest while onboard a flight on a business trip. Sadly, he did not make it.

For me, safety, on-time-performance (punctuality) and aviailability of direct flight routes rank higher than service, food and frills like in-flight entertainment.

That said, I find the service on many East Asian airlines superior to SQ, whose flight attendants tend to pander to AMDK. SQ's food has also deteriorated in the wake of COVID cost-cutting measures. The Chinese airlines (Air China, China Southern) are now in the top league in terms of aircraft age and maintenance, leg room, and food quality.
Your priorities are right.

For me, Scoot has performed pretty well until the news that they are going to let CECAs fly the aircraft.

It's hard to compete with 10kg hand carry + Scoot to gate.
