Not Phaya Thai yet. It's Ratchathewi BTS. 15 minutes by walk to Pratunam.

The buffet is one of the cheapest in Bangkok.

Stayed there once back in 2017. Nothing spooky happened, but the old-school vibe and dim lighting made it feel like something straight out of a horror movie. Elevator was glitchy too.
 
I once stayed there in a corner room on the 9th floor. Nothing happened during those 3 nights. Slept like a log throughout the night.
 
you don't say...i like that hotel, cheap and conveniently located beside BTS station,.
i stayed there several times no issues....there used to be a cabaret show at the ground floor or something.
once i went for massage & they offered me special svc....i miss that place.
