DIY lunch. kuay Tiow Sen Lek (sen lek is slightly thicker than sen mee. Sen mee is actually Sen Mee Khao which is Bee Hoon, Sen Mee Lueang is Wanton yellow noodle aka Yiu Mee. If never say Lueang, Sen mee by default refers to Bee Hoon).
Good thing about home cooked is can add anything, prawns, fishball, pork, chicken etc) and also all very fresh.
Not a fan of Sen Lek but have special request so just get some from nearby market)
imnho, most siam lor fishball cmi as compared to sinkie and jb version. Reason is different type of fish is used. Sinkie and Jb version usually used yellowtail and batang and even west blade, whereas siam lor version used a mixed variety of cheap fish including sea brass and tilapia. Very high quality fishballs will be make from batang but not common due to costs. this fish ball (75 baht) is the closest I can find in Siam lor that is consider better than the rest. Actually, there is sinkie fishball in Foodland but quite expensive and not everyday have.
