strange that Trump is still allowed to post in twitter despite some demands that his twitter be suspended.

Amos gone crazy.
I think even craven pedophiles dare not be seen supporting him.
And those not pedophiles hold Amos in utter contempt.

I cannot see how he can make his stance public.
Unless Amos himself is a fucking pedophile and out to get toddlers and babies to molest and fuck.
Amos showed himself as worse than a fucking piece of shit.
May his time on Earth wasting oxygen be short.
And his ending be very sordid and painful.

I said in a previous thread that it would be a steep learning curve for Amos in America.

Growing up in repressive Singapore, he'd had this idealized airy-fairy notion that free speech meant the licence to say anything, including the right to extol paedophilia or genocide.

It's a reality check for him now. It's an irony: the very liberal elements who support his right to talk about LGBT or abortion rights are also the harshest when it comes to bearing down on paedophilia, sexism and ageism. Way more so than the conservatives, who turn a blind eye to sexual harassment, racial profiling and abortion shootings. Try denying the Holocaust to the face of a Jewish liberal from California.

So, even in the land of the free, free speech has its limits. And the limits are largely defined by ideology and culture within different segments of the population.

One thing is sure, though: Amos will learn a lot more (and faster) in the US than had he remained here.

I don’t think it has anything to do with Singapore. He is unusual in many ways. It could one or both of the parents not correcting him early or could not correct him.

He knows why he was banned but does not know how to address it. He is reads extensively but forms his own views and society and others do not factor in.

A mix of both innate traits and the environment (parents & society), as always. He is very talented, well-read, imaginative, but also extremely self-centered, more so than many teens I've come into contact with, even in our Westernized society.

Being fed a constant diet of American movies and YouTube videos has also helped exaggerate his idealized notion of the US (remember he wasn't well-travelled) as a land of emancipation. It hit him hard when he landed in prison for 9 months upon arrival, and no one gave him a damn, not even the free press.

Combine a free spirit, self-centeredness, and an authoritarian society and you have a potent cocktail for destructive rebellion.

A fair assessment on your part. The best I come have across on this chap. In a way reminds me of Alfian - quits Medical school and then heads to Malaysia only to be severely disappointed and returns.

Amos looks worried in the video. The Amos in the past did not give a "flying fuck" over negative opinions. But having established himself officially as Singapore 1st e-Beggar, it seems that he now fears public opinion.

He keeps on harping on pedo. He will screwed himself totally.

His YouTube career is officially over as far as I can tell. He should have done more on bashing PAP and sg govt but he harp on pedo.. What the hell.

Pedo is a negative emotional term which equate to child rape and abuse, no matter what your logical reasoning is, that is how people perceive the "pedo" term to be. I thought he was smarter than this.

Agree. The irony is the country where he loathes most is the country where its people will crowdfund him to the hilt, provided he sticks to the topic that made him famous - bashing the establishment. He has a captive audience if he stays within the perimeters of that topic. That's where his money tree grows.

I don't think many people will be interested in his views on other social topics.

No point to him learning now.
There is no way he can ever redeem himself to all others (other than pedophiles)
He can kowtow a thousand times and no one will forgive him.
His only way out is to do a public harakiri
Even then , he will not earn forgiveness for the stuff he said extolling molesting and grooming and fucking of babies and toddlers.

I thought that too, He is unusual in that he wants to build his now logic and make a judgement rather than accept society's norms. It will be interesting to see how he rolls thru all these. There are times I wonder if youtube itself is his final goal rather than convince anyone of his thoughts. He did mention that Youtube's policy is not pay for controversial content so he is between rock and a hard place.

Wonder for the penny to drop.

I meant waiting for the penny of course.

Surely someone as smart as him knows he's not doing himself any favours by behaving like this?

He has an intellectual grasp of social norms and the backlash that comes with defying the most uncontroversial, universal ones. But there's a failure to grasp the moral or emotional implications of his radical views re paedophilia that goes beyond mere self-centredness or narcissism (which he has as well).

There's a high chance that Amos has Asperger's or is a high-functioning autistic. All the indicators suggest it.
