Still remember the old Boon Lay Bus Interchange, the tiny food court operated from the union. Arriving there at the end of the bus journey, was like arriving in a part of Malaysia feeling...the current Boon Lay Bus Interchange..does not have that charm.

My Bus Ticket Collection from my days of travelling by public buses. My school bus ticket of 10 cents, up from 5 cents, where one, could travel from one end of Singapore to another, on 5 cents, then 10 cents, when you are a student. Kept these with me for years.

30cents / 40 cents for feeder buses, 70 cents for Adult fare. I was starting a collection on bus tickets numbering from 0000 - 9999, never got all the series. Getting all the same numerals, was like the "luck of the Irish", never mind the money denomination.

Newton Char Kway Teow stall guy represented STPB in some overseas food fare of Singapore, ate there at Newton Circus, the food os so-so. The stall was at Serangoon Garden Market Food Centre..I don't think, it is still there.

There was a char kway teow at Finger Pier, that was good, cheap & tasty, another at Empress Place Food Centre...made extinct by high rental cost & urbanisation. Many of the old hawkers, took the "retirement" package offered back in those time.

Ah yes, many good memories I have. Small hole to chuck school bags while the pelican’s beak is just big enough for two to snuggle. Teehee!
it’s a sculpture of a pelican. small hole represents the eye and big hole represents an empty stomach.

remember waking up as a kid in a farm in potong pasir....

The smell of dried out dung in the plot was unforgettable. Trying to peep through under the doors or any broken parts of the outhouse as you walk past it...:biggrin::biggrin:
