The mission of the Ethiopian authorities to foster the growth and development of the economy and discourage illegal migration and internal displacement is evident in these regions: the extension of taxation, liberalizing the licensing requirements for businesses, liberalizing trade, creating a positive atmosphere for foreign investment, promoting commerce and increasing the use of their foreign currency. As a result of these steps, the number of non Ethiopia immigrants has significantly decreased since 2021.
