As a divorce solicitor with over twenty years experience of practising family law in Newcastle, I have observed some interesting trends with regard to the nature of my clientele. Twenty years ago, the majority of my clients were in their thirties and forties, weighed down by young children, mortgage payments and often infidelity. However, nowadays I am increasingly being asked to represent couples in their sixties, seventies and even eighties who have come to the conclusion that they have rather had enough of each other, thank you very much.
