hmm...

stemming from the initial observations as well as the current policies rolled out by the PAP government, it's not hard to suggest the increasing chances of a snap poll as early as 2014, nothing earlier as the HDB had not roll out enough pigeon holes to sweeten the grounds... any more cards up their sleeves? :*::*::*:

just HDB is not enuff to win back Aljunied.

think they will beef up the MRT system...n wait till the winds of economy to pick up...

then again, the death of somebody may change all these.

I don't trust this gov. They are just papering over their failed policies without admitting they went down the wrong path for a very long time.

Property price appreciation was engineered by PAP. I don't think they are sincere about the latest moves to increase supply.

The next election will have another hot potato. I am not referring to the World economy which is given. I am referring to the change from ERP to GPS system of road tariffing. Any change, even if it is fairer, is likely to be faced with objection. The other issues, such as lower minister's pay and the need to bring future candidates to the grassroots early will limit the choice for PAP. The usual sources - Civil Service, SAF will be out. Only NTUC and GLCs still possible. For the latter, the new minister's pay might not be attractive. So big big problem.

ooo... so the new ministerial pay scale is lower than that of what GLCs are offering now? :D:D:D

Let's hope. Some listed GLC draws millions a year for their CEO.
