While the job market has improved a fair bit. Looking for job's in the mid 30s might still be alright, but for the 40+ it might pose some challenge.

Japanese MNC claims that company not making money, and is moving back to Japan.

Thus, closing R&D and other departments of total 156 from a 500 ~ 600 pax company.

These kind of companies which can employ 500 ~ 600 is regarded as a big company in Singapore.

From my thinking, I thought that R&D operations is a sunk in cost? Which cost of R&D is already factored inside?

Perhaps, the R&D engineers in SGP could not come up with the technology/breakthrough that is required for products INNOVATION?

Or did the Japanese MNC forecast a bad economic climate, and they have went defensive in their business strategy?

One thing I learnt from my difficult years from jobless,being harrassed,divorced,in debt and so on...Don't despair! No doubt I still felt bitter about what the fucking bastard at STE did to me.

I learnt that to survive and feed oneself, you dun have to die die work in office or play politics to survive. I start driving a cab when I came back working in Taipei. In the midst, I was offered to work in other companies but I became too burnt out by stress and personal problems,in the end, i did not take up any other offers and continue my cab driving.

Although I may like to whine about taxi driving, frankly, there were times that I enjoyed myself while driving. Many things to see and hear.

It may be true,i not sure but one thing they very "gian" singapore males,especially those who came here to study and at the same time, want to look for boyfriend.

For me,no such thing except last month, there was this ang pai, very pretty, disturb me by making "make love" sound.

The last time I was driving this student back to her hostel, she emphasize on showing me her fair skin legs,dun misunderstand,she was wearing bermudas, she just shove her legs towards me and from her looks and body language,i think she wanted me to ask me for her phone number...ha...lol That time I was slimmer and just drove for less than a year.
