The unfairness and lack of transparency in S'pore's electoral system

but tbf nobody play 2 loose. its always play 2 win, tat is unless u r man united. n i m not ib hor.

An honest govt plays to win by the rules - not by destroying the
lives of their opponents and their families by fixing them up.

A complete fairness is to abolish the GRC, all constituency to be SMC all MP are elected by the people, not free riding.

Like the dusk of the Roman Empire, the fracture started out with 4 Emperors before it eventually settled into the distinct West and Eastern Roman Empire.
PAP will not be defeated by Opposition. PAP system is still deeply entrenched in many people's psychology. The downfall will start within their own ranks.

The PAP uses the GRCs to bring in inexperienced candidates into Parliament by riding as passengers on the bus driven by senior politicians like Cabinet members deployed to each PAP-held GRC. The GRC scheme also disadvantages opposition parties, by raising the threshold to find sufficient candidates with the political expertise and capability to contest GRCs. The scheme means that electors have unequal voting power, weakens the relationship between voters and MPs and entrenches racialism in local politics owing to its emphasis on minority representation.

Do not forget. The wankers have won GRCs but SMCs have not been won by oppies in decades

It's a rigged system. Opposition will never form the govt. They will never allow it.
But what they will do is give token opposition wins.

If GRC is the basis of a multi racial democracy, then why when 1 MP kaput or resign or becum president why no need to replace that particular MP who is no longer part of the GRC team…meaning that the multi racial MPs requisite is all bullshit ?

Placing the Elections Dept under the Prime Minister's Office creates a serious conflict of interest and an appearance of bias. The PM as the leader of the ruling party, has a vested interest in the outcome of the elections. By having the Elections Dept report to the PM's Office, the govt controls the very body that draws electoral boundaries, updates voter rolls and administers the election process. This erodes public trust in the electoral process and makes it difficult for the opposition to compete on a level playing field.

They had the system rigged from day one. Unfortunately, we can only blame our coolie genes ancestors, Boomers, Gen x and even Millennials. It takes 2 to clap regardless we like it or not. If I can afford to emigrate, I would have. This system is not sustainable beyond 100 years.

I wouldn't even give it 100 years.
Once the USD collapses, the next depression, the likes of which no one has seen before, and Peesai goes with it.
