Empty shops, boarded windows: Has Holland Village lost its mojo?

Should be redeveloped into another tall building... location Is excellent

It lost its soul when you real estate ghouls built the monstrosity called the One Holland Village. It's just a crappy non aircon mall pandering to the unhinged pawrents and their furkids, no?

Look on the bright side; she hasn't lost her mojo.

Exactly why you need one Holland village., Everything is doing well and fine.

Because PAP got greedy and wanted in on some of the action, so started building crap and killed the vibe.

Time for this relic of White colonialism and expatriatism to be demolished for more relevant Sinkie centric structures. A few blocks of 40-storey BTO called Holland Village Apex will kick start the place.

Holland Village lost its vibe after blocks of pigeon hole flats were erected along Holland Close, Holland Drive and Holland Avenue.

GLCs are set up to muscle in on the action after a particular industry starts making some real money. Greed has no limit as far as Pay And Pay is concerned.

I have seen low SES sales staff in Paragon turn their noses up at shoppers entering their boutiques, when most of the casually dressed are high SES individuals who are shopping after their appts at Mount Elizabeth Medical Centre.

Or maybe they were using the toilets at Paragon. I had medical appointments at Mount E too. The toilets at Mount E cannot make it.

I miss the charm of the old Holland Village.

They removed the iconic windmill (the thing which makes Holland Village... 'Holland') and built another shitty and ugly mall there.

The ageing Mount E Orchard is in decay - unlike the spanking new Mount E Novena.
