Closed circuit television surveillance footage supposedly showing a boy assaulting a cat outside of an HDB flat in Bukit Panjang has been widely circulated on the internet.
The incident happened on Apr. 8, at around 1:51am.
On Apr. 10, cat owner Ismul posted a video on his Instagram Story in hopes of seeking justice for his cat.
Warning: The following video may be distressing, as it depicts scenes of animal cruelty.
In the video, a male youth could be seen pulling down his pants and humping the cat's behind.

Despite the cat scuttling away, he lifted the cat and continued humping the cat.

The boy can be seen looking around his surroundings.
Speaking to Mothership, Ismul said his neighbour forwarded the CCTV footage to him.

Cat traumatised

In the post, Ismul said he has since made a police report.
However, "nothing could be done" at the moment, according to him.
Ismul also told Mothership that the cat showed signs of trauma following the incident.
"[We] made a police report. But nothing much can be done. Putting out here so hoping the relevant authorities will realise it once it goes viral here," he said.
Mothership has reached out to the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Singapore (SPCA) for comment.
This is a developing story.
