Serious Lower Income Worker Hits TOTO Lottery Jackpot S2.85 M , 8 July 2021

its all down to Luck.

at right place at the right time...etc...

your lucky stars go a long way.

but but at least buy s$1 to be in the game.

Yes but after you win $2.8 million what do you do with the money? It isn't sufficient for long term financial independence and it doesn't buy much if you splurge the sum either.

In my opinion the winnings will soon become a liability very quickly in the hands of someone of peasant stock.

Covert SGD2.8mil to Banglashi dollars, he will command full respect from his own Prime Minister. He can bribe the police there, employ dozens of security, build a castle, married 100 concubines and set up supermarket the like of Sheng Siong in his own country. Though SGD2.8mil is considered small in sinkieland, but it can command wind in Bangala land. He is now untouchable in his own country. Don't be jealous.

Hopefully this will happen but I doubt it.
My doubts are mainly based on the fact that he saw fit to declare to all and sundry how much he had won.

CECA is the best. More banglas and CECAs will flood here as many dream to be like him.

How me manages his finances is far more important or he could end up with -$500,000 in no time at all. I've seen it happen.
Too late. All his friends snd family members know how much he has got. By tomorrow, there will be a long queue for loans

If he does it's a wise choice. Sadly I doubt very much this will happen.

I am happy for him and very envious.

Doesnt matter what he does with the money wise or not.

How many people can say they won the lottery in their lives? The concept of money allows this lottery stuff.

Hope he enjoys the fruits of his luck.

And i hope one day i could join that exclusive club.

Don't worry. Every week we have a chance.

Money does not buy happiness.

At wealthiest point in my life I was the most miserable.

Probably because that was when you were working the hardest spending the most time on your work and how to earn that money.

Money does not buy happiness.

Money buys freedom.

Freedom to decide what to do with the resources at your disposal. And when I refer to "Money" I am not talking small change like $1000 or even $100,000. I am talking at least $5m.

So to be more precise $5m buys you freedom to decide if you still want to work. And if you do what will you do?

$5m buys your freedom to decide what you wish to do for leisure?

$5m buys you freedom to allocate enough funds for your children to let them have some sort of headstart.

I will never be able to save up $5m in my lifetime working as a doctor. I also doubt my kids will either.

Hence most of us are born into this world as slaves to a system to allow the top 1% live enjoyable lives.

Now I just wish for a peaceful death, die in the sleep best :coffee::coffee::coffee:

Me too.

Strangely death is the same destination for all of us. But how we get there makes a big difference to the people around us (not to ourselves).

Hence how we choose to die is really a choice made not for ourselves but for our loved ones.

Take a look at this video Humphrey Yang made.

He used 1 grain of rice to represent $100,000.

And how much rice represents Jeff Bezos' $122 billion.

Insane.

I think there should be ethical limits to how much money any person can own or control.

Maybe max $10m. It will make the world a better place.
