Smart Watches

The cheapest sweeping-hand movement you can buy now is the Bulova precisionist movement, at fraction of the cost of Seiko Springdrive. Taka is selling this at almost 1K but I saw prices as low as 150USD online.

Nice sweeping movement indeed. Thanks for sharing. I used to own a Bulova Accutron with the tuning fork thing. They make good watches.

Until battery technology becomes much better, smartwatches are nothing more than a niche novelty. Even Apple smartwatches aren't selling too well compared to traditional watches.

I've never owned this, but it's one of the nicest and cheapest analog quartz out there.

The best watch since NS days.

only problem is the canvas strap, if wear too long sweating becum chow chow must wash
Yes, I avoid canvas straps. Prefer rubber or stainless steel. You can buy a shark mesh bracelet from aliexpress. Would look good on your watch. All vintage flair:thumbsup:

I have been wearing a Garmin smart watch for years to track my workouts. Going to switch over to the new G shock fitness watch because I'm a hopeless g shock fanboy.

The g shock Tough solar technology means I don't have to charge it if I don't use GPS all the time.
