Above company in Bonn Germany is ST Kinetics "strategic partner"........ why a company which is so shady and untrustworthy with its boss Federick Ulf Deisenroth who for years was wheeling and dealing esp cheating the German Govt and now on the run from German Tax Office. He declared his own death.......

Was it Dr Richard Kwok Wai Onn who introduced and made IBD aka Deisenroth the strategic partner of STK in view of the benefits he derived from IBD passive armour technology as Dr R Kwok was once VP of amouring for the Bionix

Why was the rogue company and corrupt boss chosen as ST K's strategic partner?? Where is the due diligence????

As it seems the dead boss has sold off IBD to an outside partner before his demise and now a big legal battle is raging between the heirs and the buyers, preventing Rheinmetall to buy company of heirs. STK also very scared about the obscure situation in ownership not willing to do business until cleared.

IBD's shares owned by DIesenroth were held in a family trust. As executor of the trust, he would have to direct the trust to sell its shares to this outside partner. But the wife would have known for sure. Rheinmetall probably had first right of refusal to purchase the shares and also some agreement in place. The wife must have known about the side deal. Rheinmetall engineers can already reverse engineer the IBD passive armour systems by now they don't need IBD anymore. Rheinmetall should just quietly go away and continue to use the IBD technology.

I am sure Rheinmetall sign a first right of refusal when they bought into IBD. This side deal done by Diesenroth before his death might be illegal, as the shares were obliged to be offered to Rheinmetall first.

Sister companies of IBD like Chempro and ADS are part owned by Rheinmetall, there RM has right of first refusal, but IBD eingineering office has no such right..... as RM never was part owner of IBD.....

Thanks for the clarification. Yes, Chempro and ADS were JV with RM. But in truth, i suspect RM engineers are now ahead or at the very least on par with IBD engineers in all aspects of passive armour protection. Hence, I am not sure what value the IBD engineering office can itself command on the market. RM is not above stealing or "borrowing" IBD proprietary technology, and they already legally have the IBD's technology, just not the patents. I think the trend towards APS will further slow the demand for the development for more sophisticated passive armour. APS can be easily and quickly upgraded. Upgrading passive armour is a pain and something that I am not aware of any army doing. IBD is on the ropes, maybe its just as well they did not buy IBD.

It is about destroying or drastically reducing the kinetic energy of a projectile........

This is accomplished by slowing down the projectile and fragmenting it via kevlar or aramide and al oxide or SiC plus honeycomb
Layers are glued together with high tensile strength special glue but NOT IBD proprietary....
