Where are the patients? Farrer Park Hospital with 600 staff sees about 60 inpatients a week
One night earlier this month, Ms Serene Chow was rushed to Mount Alvernia Hospital with abdominal pain, only to be told that it was full.
"The nurse called other hospitals and said Mount Elizabeth and Gleneagles, too, were packed," recalled Ms Chow. Only Farrer Park Hospital had a bed for her.

So near little India, patients will be raped while sleeping.

The ayurveda clinics nearby are stealing the hospital's business.

Isn't tat good for the patient? N still better than pommie hospitals.

They should improve their advertising and marketing programmes. I have never heard of Farrer Park Hospital before today.

How about a hospital-themed budget hotel? You can rent rooms by the hour.

may be too expensive, no body can afford to go. you go in, need to pay for every 10 staff. Say, each staff 1 month 4-5K .. siong..

Those who can afford it choose Gleneagles or Mount E, wouldn't bother with these obscure 'boutique' hospitals.

Rich people from Indonesia or China should be able to afford this. If they can't get a room in Mount E or Gleneagles, this is a good alternative.

have lah. all it takes are 69 wealthy indon patients to cover more than the cost of 696 staff and hospital sexpenses in 6.9 days.

.............. with each patient spending an average of $6969 per visit.

could be more than that. 1 night in ward amounts to $696 just for stay and meals. procedure can amount to $16.9k. itemized hospitalization invoices can tally to $6.9k. total for 6.9 days can be as high as $69k.

KNN then the nurse should have told her KNN you not emergency case or KNN here not enough doctors to treat you rather than saying not enough bed KNN

Something is very wrong when the poor have to wait months to see a specialist in public hospitals which are seriously overcrowded while private hospitals for the rich and foreigners are half empty.
The PAP has lost the plot in healthcare (amongst many other things ) as the quality of life/income between the have and have nots continue to widen.
Strangely the 70% are still in comatose while the liar and dishonourable son (as claimed by his own siblings publicly and without any reply by him) travel the world attending conferences and acting like a world leader!
