all my mind can understand from the above is "protect private parts from illegal sexual acts" which everyone should do.

for me putting on the hijab feels like a choice, one of many we make daily. Race, physical appearance are not among the choices we make. Philosophy, religion and how we interpret it is. I am curious as to why people make the choices they do and sometimes I find certain choices made by people of questionable sense. To be clear, race is at most a topic we can have fun with amongst the closest of friends. Religion to me is close to why you bought a certain brand of car. You don't have to buy the car. There are many choices.

As for that girl, she can be wearing anything (some would prefer nothing! )and it still is a welcome sight.
