LOL thank you heaven for everyday sending me new facts to prove Hokkien ships and port were great and greatest in 12xx and 13xx with massive volume of China goods already reaching Spore then. I don’t even have to search high and low for it.

It must be god’s will to vindicate Hokkiens indeed that Chinese artefacts are now excavated from Singapore to West Australia proving Hokkien landing on these places hundreds of years before angmohs.

Where is your proof on this? Shameless Cantonese evil shit spewing lies of Hokkiens non stop.

"Piracy in the region was mentioned in Chinese texts, for example, the 14th century traveller Wang Dayuan described pirates from Long Ya Men (in present-day Singapore) and Lambri (in Northern Sumatra) in his work Daoyi Zhilüe. The pirates of Long Ya Men were said to leave Chinese junks going west through the strait undisturbed, but waited until the Chinese junks were on their way back to China laden with goods before they attacked with two to three hundred boats.[1][2]"

The pirates were malays.probably acehnese in the north. Bugis were rampant in the south but they started only when dutch controlled malacca.
But indians were in malay archioelago much earlier.

the chief pirate was a chink. he operated from straits of melaka to temasick to palembang with hundreds of junks and thousands of pirates made up of chinks and malays. he was so powerful in the area that the ming dynasty had to send a fleet to subdue him. one of the most powderful chink pirates of that era was chen zuyi. surname was tan in hokkien. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chen_Zuyi

when hollywood was doing background research to do a pirates movie involving south east asia, they discovered a treasure trove (no pun intended) of history unknown to and ignored in the west. they found the chinks were most powerful pirate chieftains straddling along the melaka straits, the naval choke point that is now sinkapore, and safe harbor and far flung base in palembang. no wonder they cast chow yun fat as chief pirate in temasick. at first i thought it was a joke or pure fiction, but as i dig deeper into abandoned black hole and unbroken hymen that is south east asian history, i realize they mix fiction with facts. and facts and archaeological discoveries point to murderous, rapist and robber chinks from fuking and gongdong provinces being top sharks not bottom feeders from the south china sea to straits of melaka.

Palembang is inland, must navigate the river to reach it. Maybe its somewhere along the shores with the same name.
So if a chinese governor appointed by china control palembang, and maybe pontianak too.

You are caught an evil liar AGAIN and AGAIN. Wikipedia said this Chen Zuyi was from Guangdong aka Cantonese pirate. Not Hokkien.

Chen Zuyi (Chinese: 陳祖義; Wade–Giles: Ch'en Tsu-i; died 1407) was a 15th-century Chinese pirate from Guangdong, and was one of the most feared pirates to ever infest the seas of Southeast Asia.

you talk cock lah. he was originally from fuking province with the chen surname pronounced as "tan". if he was born in guangdong, his surname would have been known as chan, not chen, not tan. as a fugitive he ran road from fuking province to guangdong and sailed out of guangdong in a junk. at that time guangdong produced junks too, not just in fuking.
