At its peak before the 2011 election 1500+ messages were posted daily. They weren't all gems but but because of the anonymity provided in this forum they were all crafted from the heart rather than the head.
There were many nut jobs here and without sammyboy they would not have had an outlet.
The 2015 election was hotly debated here too but by that time a new facebook generation who did not crave anonymity but who actually enjoyed the limelight used Mark's platform to fuck the PAP ministers directly on their facebook pages. The average daily post count hovered around 1200 to 1300.
There was a significant decline after the disappointment of 2015 and many keyboard warriors called it a day. Traffic here dropped by half. Facebook/Instagram and wechat groups took centre stage.
However there is still life in this forum and over the last couple of months the daily posts have crept up from 600 to around 950. The famiLEE feud has helped boost traffic along with the antics of the TCB and LHY collaboration. The whole of Singapore is looking forward to the next salvo. We live in exciting times.
I'm still waiting the break the 1000 barrier and with the support of all my loyal members I'm pretty sure traffic will surge at least another 30% in the lead up to the next election.
To the old timers who are still logging in but no longer posting I would love to see you guys start over, not for the purpose of fucking each other but to provide new insights into the direction Singapore is headed and how the PAP is going to navigate the shark infested waters. If the old nick has too much baggage just create a new one. In this forum all of us who don't use our actual names and reveal our identities are clones. There is no stigma.
Internal squabbles here played a significant role in the decline of this forum. They are not necessary. I welcome debate but let's debate the issues and not person behind the keyboard. I don't care who anyone is in real life. All I want is the savor the "wisdom".
