One of the best - in terms of plot and excitment....

my favourites: Schindler's List, Saving Private Ryan, Inglourious Basterds, Valkyrie, Fury.

Pearl Harbor was crap.

4 mins of "The eagle has landed" ..... A German special forces plot to kill Churchill..... Scene starts with German commander attempting to save a Jewess from the Death Camps...

A Bridge Too Far

Dun really like war movies because they let your seeds of hatred grow inside of you. Especially when you see someone being abused or rape and you want justice.

Pearl Harbour was absolute garbage,,,the original is still the bestest...

Personal favs are A Bridge Too Far, Empire of the Sun and Cross of Iron. There are others that are good but these three come to mind now.

Lieutenant Colonel Bill Kilgore: "I love the smell of napalm in the morning."

-- Apocalypse Now --

So far they have not produced a realistic movie of the Vietnam war. Only got crap like platoon and We were Patriots.... Green Berets was worse than crap.... Apocalypse Now was too surreal...
Needs a British director to come out with something better.
The killing fields was good - but it was based on Cambodia and not Vietnam :(

This is a very good 'big scale' war movie.

A Bridge Too Far

The is one of the better Vietnam war movies,,some might like the 'darker' type like Platoon,,but to each his own,,and the one thing good is a Senior NCO does a better job than a full fledge Officer,,
