Cleaning firms now need to be licensed. Security and PI entities same same. Moneylenders, moneychangers, remittance, insurance and property agents, taxi drivers etc. Is there any sector that dont require a license?

My hunch is that these measures could well be used to the advantage of the MIW. Implementation is politically motivated. Another way to nudge you to toe the line. Be kuai kuai and compliant. Wonder if this takes place in 1st world countries.
That's stating the obvious isn't it. There are also unlicensed money lenders, property agents etc. Pimping requires a license. Being a poltician does not.
Politicians have a licence to 'steal', 'lie' & 'deceive' or as one puts it, 'they are a steal'....
Licensing is not just a way to regulate those industries. Its actually a way for PAP to take over market share and make money from the operations. Then after taking over cleaning industry, still make you return tray.

Actually license it good to regulate the industry. So all will need to meet certain criteria.

In some cases yes, the license is used to make you toe the line.
The govt also uses fundings and sponsorships to force people to toe the line. The arts community for instance. Lagi best as the money is taxpayer money
