He is sore ...being slapped by Sylvia, Pritam, the Indons, Sylvia again in Parliament and then Low TK in Parliament. He is also baiting the WP MPs in the hope that he can catch them make a slip so that he can sue them as well.

I feel that these are the people causing his death in politic. They have given him the false sense that he is doing fine. They indirectly urged him on in his childish acts that results in greater harm than good.

(VB: show us one single piece of evidence that this was so. Just one piece which can be accepted in a court of law! You are really dumb & dumber!)
That was why I said in Parliament that these denials by Ms Lim and Mr Singh were false and untruthful. And I say it again here.
Ms Sylvia Lim acknowledged that this was a very grave charge, but then she beat around the bush, and claimed confusion between spring and annual cleaning. But how can she, on the one hand, claim that the Town Council never asked for more money; and then, on the other hand, maintain that this was spring and not annual cleaning, i.e. the Town Council was justified to ask for more money?(After re-reading your comments a few times here, I am still trying to see the link between SL's comments and your 'response'. Many well-intended people advised me not to pursue this saga. It was too mundane, and people wanted to move on.
But I felt duty bound to resolve this matter, because it goes far beyond clean ceilings.

Mr Low Thia Kiang argued that it was all ‘a misunderstanding’. But interestingly he did not strongly defend the Town Council’s actions, or Ms Lim and Mr Singh’s public denials.
Politics is a contest for power, but people with power must never take advantage of those in their charge. Equally important, we must always be honest with everyone, including ourselves, especially if a mistake has been made. I therefore urged Mr Low to conduct a full investigation and clean up his Town Council.
To my surprise, at this point Mr Low, Ms Lim and Mr Singh all chose to remain silent, and raised no further questions or objections, and so the debate in Parliament ended.

It is all these misplaced words of 'encouragement' which fans his ego. He is oblivious that these porlampars are investing for future favours and that people are being polite. It is like if he is your neighbour what do you tell him. Ya, minister, these WP fellas are lying through their teeth. Smile, smile and then go their separate ways - what the neighbour really thinks does not matter. He is too dense to realise this in his arrogance. His parents must be quite proud of him by now. He can singlehandedly lose a few thousand votes.

We don't know the whole picture. The time allocation of this debate was over ...so the WP MPs didn't have the chance to rebut? Or the Speaker refuse to grant them the floor?
