I like Gordon Ramsay. He's a prick to young chefs during contests but at challenges/tours he's very humble and funny.

my guess is dat he wil win 2, lose 1 ... nutting 2 do wif whether he noes how 2 cook local hawker fares ...

u tink organisers want him 2 lose face by not winning? ... definitely got judges wil let him win ...

ofcos local hawkers cannot lose all la ... definitely dey wil let locals win sum consolation ...

Trust you to like someone who is a bully, as long as you are not the one being bullied.

sinkee hawker food not so easy to challenge. what are the dishes gordon ramsey want to challenge?

Gordon will de construct the dish and present it his way.
Knn even you find world best 3 star Michelin angmo chef also cannot cook our hawker dish just after tasting it and a crash course.
This machiam getting a high jumper to do long jump.

all marketing lah. got kung hu, do one nice sha bo fan, one giam chai ark and........one vegetarian bee hoon.

I've actually been lucky enough to patronize his restaurant in Chelsea and I have to confess his food is excellent (from a fine dining context).
Street food is not really Ramsey area of expertise.
Not sure how he will compare against Singapore street hawkers as his style of cooking is as different as chalk and cheese.

There's a show on TV with him going round SEA cooking local dishes of places he visits.
This is part of that show?

No, the name of that show is called Gordon Ramsey's Great Escape.

Here is the episode on Malaysia from Youtube.
