There has always been agreement between the authorities from Malaysia and Singapore about meddling in the politics of one another. Or even allowing others to do so. Without sounding alarmist, the key player in the May 13 riots where the Malays slaughtered the Chinese was none other than Utusan Melayu. In 1964, the key player in the communal riots that erupted in Kallang / Geylang vicinity was none other than Utusan Melayu.

The inflammatory headline on the first day after the just concluded Malaysian General Elections again the work of Utusan Melayu..

So when Jolovan Wham and well meaning young Malaysians organise solidarity protest on behalf our fellow brethen the guys in Utusan Melayu will be rubbing their hands in glee, waiting to set fire to the proverbial tinderbox. And the Chinese are now longer make up 46% of the population in Malaysia. It has practically halfed.

So when these guys hold protest in the comfort that Singapore is a safe, the guys who will pay the price are those Chinese in Malaysia.


Ps. By the way, Utusan Melayu began life in Singapore , re-organised and run in Singapore by our first president and the likes of Othman Wok before it was hijacked and taken to Malaysia by the UMNO gang.

When I was in a KL library during the mid 2000s, once read about this book by a Malaysian writer ..

Yusof Ishak as the then Director of Utusan used to be under immense pressure by the late Tunku who was unhappy with several articles written by the Utusan boys critical of UMNO's policies..

Once, the Tunku summoned Yusof to his KL residence, served him breakfast and during the breakfast, lashed out at Yusof Ishak for an article that Said Zahari wrote few days earlier in the Utusan that was full of vitriol towards UMNO..

Many times, the Tunku made Yusof Ishak his punching bag and few times his Utusan reporters had seen their Big Boss in his office room, eyes red in tears after receiving a tongue lashing from the Tunku through the phone..

This is a dangerous idea from you.. Najib is now blaming the educated Malays for supporting the PKR multi racial policies that resulted in the poor showing by the BN in last Sunday's GE..

These educated Malays are mostly moderates who also disapprove of the discrimination being faced by the minority races in Malaysia..

Racial violence is not the solution and will never be the solution to defeat the BN..

God forbid. A racial riot in Malaysia will be as dark as hell. The chinese with a reduced numbers would not stand a chance when the Malay runs amok. Everyone including BN or DAP and the chinese themselves should do all they can to prevent an explosive racially-induced riots from happening. China, with its excellent relations with malaysia may just give a token comment. The US are not interested and tiny Spore cannot do anything.


Look at the May13th riots, the chinese resisted ( with Indians help) initially but the ferocity of the Malays rampaging across KL were too much for the chinese who were not accustomed with the fighting nature of the Malays who keep coming. In a majority chinese Spore, the 1964 racial riots also see many chinese casualties. My uncle still recalled with fearful eyes. Hundreds of chinese were killed in the KL riots but analysts suggests the official numbers as 2-3 times more, mainly chinese casualties.

In fact the 60s was not the first time the country faced riots. There were widespread anti-chinese riots immediately after the defeated Japanese army left Malaya during WW2. The Malayan Communist Party guerillas came down from the jungle and slaughtered alleged traitors, both malays and chinese. The Malays fought back violently against the guerillas and anti-chinese riots occurred. Matters settled after the British arrived but the Sino-Malay relations were very strained.

However, Malaysian chinese enjoyed relative peace after the May 13th riots until today while Indonesian chinese faced riots every now and then.Hopefully things will settled after all these protests and the chinese will continue to live peacefully in Msia.

Actually the Malaysian Chinese like the discriminated Jews have been tempered by the fire of racism and are doing very well in Malaysia despite not having much in outright political footing and more proportionate to their contribution and presence. Malaysia is resource rich and the opportunities are still are aplenty. They now like the Jews who control Washington in more ways than one.

The late Tunku was adamant that no permit was to be issued as he feared trouble would break out between the Chinese and the Malays on the streets.. But to the anger of the Tunku, the then DPM Razak gave the go ahead for the Chinese to have their procession.. The Tunku suspected that this was done behind his back..

In short Razak betrayed the Tunku to oust the latter from power and to elevate himself to the top post.. True enough, trouble did broke out between the Chinese and the Malays resulting in the Tunku's departure as the PM of the country..

Crafty cunning Razak achieved all these with the help of then then CM of Selangor Harus Idris who also played a major part in orchestrating the May 1969 racial riots..

The most saddest man was the Tunku who years after the riot told an aide that he was very sad that his beloved Chinese and Malay citizens fought among themselves.. That racial riot left him quite a broken and a disappointed man that his most trusted Deputy betrayed him..
