The present Perkasa clown Ibrahim Ali was appointed messenger by Dr M in 1998 to relay message to Anwar to resign or face the humiliation of being exposed to the public as a butt lover..
Ibrahim Ali was an old friend of Anwar, both were student leaders during their Uni days and both were arrested under the ISA act and served their sentence together.. That's why Dr M gave Ibrahim the task of being his messenger boy..
Dr M gave Anwar the ultimatum.. Volunteer to Resign from all his Cabinet posts and admit that he did a bad job as a Finance Minister and I will keep quiet about his gay trysts.. Tell Anwar I have the evidence of all his deeds..
Ibrahim Ali then went to Anwar's home and told him of Dr M's instructions.. Anwar upon seeing Ibrahim cried on his shoulders.. Ibrahim patted him on the back and told him to just follow Dr M's order.. Anwar refused..
A high level UMNO meeting then took place with Anwar and Mahathir present during the meeting.. It was a heated meeting with many UMNO clowns taking shots at Anwar..
Anwar turned livid and banged his fists against the meeting table many times and raised his voice against Dr M.. Dr M was cool when Anwar lashed at him.. He kept quiet and only gave Anwar a sarcastic smile..
Few days later, Anwar was arrested by the Police..

Dr M and Anwar have their different sides of the story.. Dr M all along claims that Anwar is a butt lover, had extra marital relationships with other women, is an American agent, a lackey of the Western powers and was busy making allies within UMNO to unseat him when Anwar was still the DPM..
Meanwhile Anwar all along have denied all these allegations, saying that Mahathir was jealous of his friendships with the US politicians and other international leaders.. Anwar also said that Dr M was power crazy desperate to cling on to power while he was still in charge, and a corrupt PM..
By the way, there was a recent video of a chap looking like Anwar having sex in a hotel with another guy.. Turned out that it was not Anwar but a Thai man that looks like him.. The Thai man was stopped at the Malaysia - Thai border by the Malaysian police.. The Malaysian police are now investigating the case.. Could be the work of UMNO cronies again to slander Anwar..
Malaysian politics are very exciting and interesting.. Full of suspense, sex and thriller.. Rival supporters fighting one another on the streets..Slandering one another and making baseless vicious rumours are part and parcel of politics there..

What I know was Anwar's downfall came about immediately after Mahathir's most trusted crony, Mohd the CEO of EON (manufacturer of Proton Saga) and his wife were killed in a helicopter crash.
Apparently Mahathir entrusted his asset of about RM3b to be held in escrow by this 50 year Mohd and after he and his wife's sudden & untimely death, Mahathir lost his RM3b asset to the two children of the deceased.
Mahathir's camp pointed their fingers at Anwar for Mohd's sabotage and it was the late Megat Junid who was asked by Mahathir to plot Anwar's downfall.
After the sacking of Anwar, HL Bank and Arab Malaysian Bank who were allied to Anwar paid about RM2b to Mahathir to prevent their banks from being taken over by Daim.
