Had lunch at Ton Nam Reataurant by the ChaoPhaya river in Ayutthaya.

Many restaurants along this river is popular for Khung Pao (grilled river prawns) but I have to say this restaurant is the best here.

We started with Khung Pao Somtam

Followed by giant catfish cook with Thai herbs

Curry Silver Blue Fish

Fried fishballs with salted eggs

The juice you see is not roe but rather its from the head, no idea what it is but it sure tastes great. See how easily the meat comes out.

Look the the translucent meat, sooo sweet

Selected a nice red from south east of France, Gigendas of Dus de Mayreuil from Rhone valley.

It's fruitiness and full body should go well with the pan fried foie gras and the foie gras terrine
