Marmite is the kiwi trademark, They have to relabel it as our mate down under. marmite from kiwiland, vegemite from aussieland, and Marmite from Uk all taste different. I've grown up eating Marmite from uk but not on toast but on rice porridge. You can get them at Coles supermarket here. I also have fresh bacon and eggs in the morning.

aussie poverty paste. they love to mate everything.

Anyone still have this for breakfast?

Should try toasting the loti first before spreading the marmite.

Heat from toasting will help to spread the marmite better, and this one is savory to the max!!

. . . . . . . .
Fortunately we did not reach a stage where we ate ikan-selar-kuning porridge with sauce or where our poor mother had to eat the head, bones and tails of the fish". Neither did we had any uncle who gave us a tin of biscuits free-of-charge.

Hearing the sad stories made me feel very guilty for I, as a son of a daily-rated coolie had much better breakfast then a son of a farmer cum bus driver.

Bro don't be fooled. Now he and his wife both have cars and the thinks that "everybody has a car" knn. You don't believe me? See this

I always keep a few packets of Marmite drink in my fridge. Whenever I feel tired or a flu coming I'll make myself a hot cuppa, the effect is immediate, feel so good. The words below Yeast Extract are Sinhalese bought this in Colombo Sri Lanka during my travel.

Oh, I din know they sell them as drinks like this. Yes, if I need an extra boost of energy I mix the marmite into hot water as well.
