Yet, TKS thinks that he did no wrong and now considers himself a man of god. People lost their savings, their homes and their families.

I still could remember having to count the large amount of PAN EL shares scrips in the storeroom for stock taking; mind you those were worthless papers & the storeroom is under lock & key, and only certain senior people have access to that key. It to was quite amusing for me to be counting & keeping stocks of them. Anyway, I think I do not need to explain to you, why they can't just burn those shares scrips.

Those deeds are well documented don't think TKS & P.Tham & company can ever erase..but we can't point finger at TKS or GK and say..now you are men of God. It is not for us to judge, but we can only set right what is deviated!

I remember the following. He was officially named the AG designate when Tan Boon Teik's impending retirement was announced. The wife in the meantime was developing a resort in Batam and the main contractor was Lee Kim Tah. Cash flow was an issue and the hunt for investors began. A complaint was lodged with AG that GK was tapping Indonesians for money. CPIB was asked to investigate as it is the usual approach. Senior civil servants receiving complaints of this nature is not uncommon and this is the common way of dealing with it.

In the course of the investigation, they found that he had approached Ng Ser Miang and told him that others had committed to the investment amounting to $3m which was not the case. I think there was 2 others. They also found that he had submitted an inflated involce for a subaru from an unknown company to obtain a car loan from the Govt. I think the subaru was used in Batam.

His wife, their architect, his law school classmate and her husband was also arrested for conspiracy to cheat.

I suspect that GK negotiated a guilty plea to both the charges and obtained the dropping of the charges for the rest.

Lee Kim Tah subsequently sued all of them and it was settled before going to court and they had to sell their assets.

Yes, I don't think it was payback by anyone. It was a simple case of people with no experience in business trying on to take on a big project.

shareholders and stockholders will lose pants, shirts, underwear and family jewels if any kingpin of a fledging flagship is disgraced and taken to the cleaners. risk taking resides with the investor equally. the question is... is it worth the risk and devastation to many to take out the kingpin based on questionable charges when the fledging flagship is not sunken and could have sailed gloriously into the sunset for another decade? it's a question of national interest (for the many) rather than a personal crusade against an individual. the feds, treasury, potus face that question with wall street firms holding billions in ransom money every day. those whose ships are still afloat are allowed to sail while those whose ships have sunken are prosecuted. in pan el's case, it was a floating ship. they seized the captain and a captainless ship shipwrecked on the rocks. nevermind what's cooking in the ship. the authorities could have given more thought to the passengers and crew still on the ship. the whole saga could have been executed behind the scenes with deliberate docking and evacuation of the ship than sudden heli plucking of the captain out at sea. the fault did not lie with tks alone. you're obsessed with the wreck and devastation while forgetting the whole disaster could have been prevented.
