Har har ,at least u treat the Chinese as a opponent,if u don't even mention about China,it is a real disaster for a 1.3 billion population !To us it is already a steal to be second in the tally!Imagine China was so dirt poor just 30 years ago!It is worth celebrating to be in second place.Thank u for bringing this as a topic to compare!Hooray!

China was backwards for the last 1000 years even though they had a headstart in technology 2000 years ago. So what went wrong?
Its the culture of selfish greed that held them back. The current spurt is due to them catching up with the rest of the technological world. Beyond that they will stagnate.
A society that still thrives on 'not prosper thy neighbour' can only consume but not build.
The western world is fuel by excellence, China, by results. Guess which will come out winners in the long run.

South Korea 49 million
Canada 35 million
Kazakhstan 16 million
