I couldn't find the rules for awarding points, but guess this from looking at the results and the table.
3 points for a win by 3-0 or 3-1, 2 points for a win by 3-2 and 1 point for a loss by 2-3.

Btw, Jessica Ennis is leading the hepthatalon after 6 events with 800 m to come later.
She is small sized but hot and a great athlete too!

If 2 teams have the same points, they will probably look at the result between those 2 teams, so if Brazil and Turkey same points, probably Brazil to qualify.
