I just returned from a very enjoyable overseas trip.
I had the privilege of meeting 10 Singaporeans studying there. They are intelligent, articulate, discerning and well informed. What they told me were interesting. They are Honours students, Masters students or PHD students, doing part time Uni tutoring. All of them have decided to stay overseas and take up foreign citizenships because of what the pap has done to SG and Singaporeans in recent years. They have been approached by a survey company, commissioned by the SG govt, to get their opinions and were paid S$20 for the survey. Some questions in the survey asked their opinions of recent SG govt policies, their stay overseas, the country they like to migrate too shd they decide to leave SG, etc. They told me that they were frank and honest in expressing their opinions in the survey and they had very little good to say abt the pap and their recent policies. I am glad that the pap sees it important to get these overseas SG students opinions. I hope that the survey company has the courage to present the whoile truth from the survey of overseas students.
The pap tries to justify their squandering of tax payers' money on PRC students by saying that SG needs them to take up citizenship because of the greying of SG. But this antagonised many Singaporeans and has resulted in many true blue Singapore students deciding to migrate. Gaining one PRC student and losing a SG student is a nett loss to SG. So many of our own sons and daughters have decide to leave SG. Does LHL see the backlash of his liberal sponsorship policy of PRC students? This bad policy has pushed many good Singaporeans to leave? LKY was quoted a ssaying that he will be happy if SG can retain 15% of these scholars..that bad ROI ...getting 15% to take up citizenship and losing so many of our own sons/daughters doesnt make good sense.
As PM, LHL didnt forsee the the strain on SG's infrastructure when he approved the increase in population from 3.5m to 5.1 m. bad leadership.
As PM, LHL was not able to understand the arguments put forward by some Ministers who were against the casino proposal by MTI and STB. Did LHL see the social problems, crimes, vices, etc that wld wreck SG when he agreed with the casinos?
As PM, LHL was not able to understand that cronyism and nepotism are not meritocratic and will only place sub-standard people in high positions which will eventually result in poor performance. Good example is TH which have resorted to sell strategic SG assets like power generation stations to make profits to the long term detriment of SG.
As PM, was LHL able to comprehend that a wide income gap will ultimately cause social division in SG?
As PM, does LHL realise that importing 3rd world foreigners with their bad habits and behaviours and giving them PRs and citizenships will eventually cause stress and social problems in SG?
As PM, does LHL know that supporting 5.1m people in SG will increase cost of living as compared to supporting 3.5m people and this will have very bad effect on poor singaporeans?
As PM, does LHL realise that increasing COE prices, ERPs will cause transport cost to balloon and further strain the stretched transport system and add misery to Singaporeans?
LHL has shown poor analytical ability and poor leadership.
LHL indeed fails miserably as a PM
