Many marriages among Taiwan celebrities in 2011.
Which of these do you think can last, which makes you glad or sad?
Please add on to the list.

1. Blackie Chen and Fan Fan

2. Barbie Hsu and Wang Xiaofei (son of rich PRC restaurant owner)

3. Kang Kang (host and singer usually with Jacky Wu) and PRC 20+ gf

4. Tuo Zhongkang (host and nightclub owner Xiao Kang) and 20+ gf

5. Kelly Lin Xi Lei and unknown bf. Think his name is Chris. :o Not Maximilian. :biggrin:

6. Jason (botak with actor parents) and unknown gf

7. Ah Dan (most famous for writing lyrics for singer Cao Ge) and older gf (rich shoe entrepreneur)

8. Gao San Feng (well known nightspot player Mountain) and unknown gf

9. Patty Hou (host of You Guess 3X) and banker bf

10. Ma Guo Pi (rotund comedian usually with Nono) and unknown gf

11. Shi Jie Hui (40+ impersonator best known for impersonating KMT's Chiu Yi) and 20+ unknown gf.

Happy and everlasting....Blackie Chen and Fan Fan. Blackie is unpretentious, mature and down-to-earth type. Wish them well. And maybe those guys whose gf are not from the celebrity circle. Those rich businessmen, Xiao Kai or bankers live in the upper social class and marrying a celebrity girl is just another trophy on their office desk. As businessmen, going to nightclubs and socialise with girls is inevitable and this put strain on their marriage. I have nothing against them personally but the nature of their job constantly tempts and feeds the monster of lust inside them. After all, they are all humans. :biggrin:

Strangely enough, there are no xiao kai and female artiste marriages on my list.
Barbie is probably rich enough, although she obviously chose someone rich like little sister. Patty also rich enough. In fact, there's one "reverse xiao kai" case, that of Ah Dan and his older shoe businesswoman wife.

As for Blackie and Fan Fan, actually I think the key to their lasting marriage is Fan Fan. Blackie is as you said, but one thing about him is that he is very particular about face, so he will try to sustain the marriage. But more importantly, Fan Fan is not a difficult and demanding woman, hence I think it will last. :wink:

I've said many times that Michelle Chong is really talented. Favourite mediacock actor was Xie Shaoguang. And we've discussed the 7 princesses in other threads.

The most important thing is that both are not very famous even in Taiwan. Fan Fan is a middle of nowhere singer, while Blackie is one of numerous hosts. Both are on equal standing so is easy to maintain this marriage la.

The Ah Dan marriage will not last. I have seen both on TV in a talkshow where they were being interviewed about their marriage. The woman is a flirt and it's a matter of time before Ah Dan found his Green Beret training too shiong.

Another whose marriage would be on the rocks soon is Barbie Hsu. The 'kimochi' with her mother-in-law is really bad. The husband is a flirt.

Most of the couples in your list started off cohabiting. The moral fibre in Taiwan is almost non-existent.

this one i saw the news that gal is from a rich family while Ah Dan is a average entertainer. The status seems far apart.

Ah Dan is much younger than the wife, so it's pretty obvious that he is after her family's business. Everyone knows that, so it's a matter of how long he can cope with the pressure. The woman will dump him when she finds a younger man who is handsome. Ah Dan is zero in the looks department, and as an entertainer he is below average.

The tell-tale signs that the marriage would not work were pretty obvious when both appeared in a talkshow. The man was trying very hard to romanticize the relationship but the 'story' was far from convincing. The lack of understanding between the two was obvious.
