a mother and two daughters was knock down by a vehicle at New Bridge Road
ERP which has just operated for 7 days.

the driver claim that the sign of ERP and the trees has block his view as
the mother and daughters was crossing the road where the green man shown.

the mother injured but not as bad as the elder daughter who suffered a
head inhury with internor bleeding, and after a 5 hours operation the doctor
claim that she may not be able to speak well and she could have suffered
in the rest of her life.

it was then notice that the ERP sign has block the view of the traffic
ligt, and from New Bridge Road to Cross Street, one has to pass by the
hump of the Singapore River which could be the main cost of causing the
view of the driver been blocked

Amazing.... so the govt has to pay for the damage for the driver as well as the victims of the accident. GO to court and sue the govt for this, both of the parties.

actually the fault may not be with the gantry and trees....

Fair enough that the ERP and the Trees might have block the view of the drivers. But as a driver, should he be driving cautiously if he can't see what is ahead? instead he charged forward like a blind bull going into a poceline shop...

It is what is indicated, an accident and so unfortunately. wish the elder daughter a swift recovery and minimize of any complication aftermath when recovered.

If you can't even pave roads for a smooth ride, don't expect LTA to know how to build gantries without hazard.

As a motorist, I know when to slow down and keep an eye out when my view is obscured. Why take the chance to speed up or travel at the same speed when you suspect that danger (to pedestrians and the driver) could lurk ahead?

I certainly pray that the daughter doesn't suffer traumatic head injury or she will never be able to lead a normal life again. This is the latest reminder that life is so fragile.

Where does the revenue collected from COE premiums go to?
Make world class transport system...that why a small island can have 5MRT lines mah...another one building in Jurong

Got to ask ourselves....are we overbuild and overburden our next gen with a lot maintenance cost as long term population trend seem unable to trend upward due to land constraints
