Anyone with 80,000 Euros can easily apply for Austrian PR by the following strategy:

1. Place the 80,000 Euros funds in a bank account in Austria.

2. Rent a dwelling place for yourself & your family in Austria.

3. Buy an international health insurance policy (over the internet) which also provides full cover in Austria.

Nothing could be easier than that for those who are seriously want to migrate to a 1st World country.

After 10 years residing in Austria you can apply for Austrian citizenship which gives you the right to reside and work in any of the EU countries plus Switzerland.

Austrian Permanent Residence for Persons of Independent Means

Under the category of persons of independent means, the key criteria are that you have sufficient funds (you must be able to show that you have at least EUR 80,000 in liquid assets at your disposal, in the form of a statement of account from an Austrian or major international bank), permanent accommodation in Austria, and health insurance that provides full cover in Austria.

A spouse and children under 18 years can be included in an application. Due to a strictly applied quota system, the processing time for applications under this category can, however, be lengthy.

Austria won't be easy cos the main language is German...

I am showing that an Austrian PR is so much easier to qualify than the traditional countries of choice for migration namely USA, Canada, UK, Australia, & NZ.

The migrant can always learn German as a second language.

Other countries that are also easy to qualify for PR are mostly developing countries like Panama. Panama requires much smaller sum compared to Austria which is a 1st World Country.

Most have this 80,000 EUR(app. S$160,000) amount in their cpf. But without giving up S'pore citizen, one cannot take it out. Therefore, one continues to slog in the tiny red dot until it's time to meet the creator.

Can you work in austria in that 1st 10 years?

As far as I know, you can work during those 1st 10 years.

That's what a PR is for, right? It gives the PR holder the legal right to work, run their own businesses, or attend universities without any restrictions.

The last time I visited Austria, Vienna obviously has more Asians than Innsbruck and Salzburg. Plenty of Asians in Vienna running their own restaurant businesses.

If you are serious about migrating to Austria, check out http://www.henleyglobal.com/countri...henleyglobal.com/countries/austria/residence/

It costs a lot less money to migrate than other first world western countries.

Sinkies need to think out of the box! Sinkies with rich friends or relatives have the option of borrowing the 80,000 EUR from them.
