A great place to cool off and away from the busy and dusty Bangkok. Peaceful, quiet and serene Hua Hin is the resort of choice for those who wish to get away.....

Hua Hin is also known as the Royal Beach Resort being the oldest and most traditional Thai resort which combines the attractions of a modern holiday destination with the charm and fascination of a still active fishing port. While most other Thai holiday destinations cater mainly to foreign tourists, Hua Hin is a holiday resort for foreigners and also for the friendly Thais themselves.Hua Hin has been the favourite Thai resort for over 70 years. The resort was discovered in the early 1920s by King Rama VII as an ideal getaway from the sultry metropolis of Bangkok. The tranquil fishing village was turned into the Royal resort and consequently became popular among Siam's nobility and upper-class.Hua Hin is a small and beautiful place and we stayed at the Anantara Resort which is about 10 minutes drive from the Hua Hin town. It's a quiet and rather rustic resort with a calm and sandy beach. The chalets are very comfortable with two wonderful swimming pools - one exclusively for those VIPs staying in the deluxe chalets and suites. And of course we rounded up our short trip to Thailand with our stay at the Novotel Hotel in Bangkok. It was an enjoyable trip for all of us. The Thais have always been gentle, courteous and polite.Bangkok has become a very clean city with many modern ammenities and large shopping malls.Small retailers offering great bargains are still standing side by side with these giant shopping malls.Bangkok is still an amazing, interesting and wonderful modern city for tourists....

Hua hin has a whole ton of hotels and resorts everywhere and mind you you need a form of transportation to bring you to see the various sights cos many of their places of attraction are far from one another.

From Bangkok, you can fly direct to Chiangmai to enjoy the beautiful mountain resort of Belle Air...

Welcome to Belle Villa Resort Chiangmai "Your Home in the hills" At Belle Villa Resort, Chiangmai, there is an opportunity to experience a mountain resort only a short drive from the city, but with the feeling of total isolation. Looking out from any of the hotel rooms or villas, you will see nothing but only the lush green of the surroundings, created by our beloved and respectful mother nature.Tucked in between mountains, Belle Villa has achieved that much sought after, but difficult to attain task of being 'remotely accessible'. With jogging, tennis, elephant riding and other facilities, the resort is a place where you can enjoy the remoteness to the fullest. Offered facilities here are of the first class hotel standard with emphasis however on rendering a "feel at home" atmosphere.

So the next time you are in Chiangmai, don't forget to go up to the hills and enjoy the traditional Thai hospitality.Fruits abundant and it will be a good get-away from the busy and bustling Bangkok. You can spend a few days at the resort villa and then come to the down for good and cheap massage. And of course wonderful Thai cuisine.....Enjoy!!! Sawadee kah!!!

Although a bit far from the city, it is worth the stay - the peace and the serenity of the whole beach resort.
