The two women found dead in a Changi chalet may have committed suicide.

inSing had earlier reported that two women, Zhang Wan Si, 20, and Cai Hui Xian, 24, were found dead at 1am in a Changi chalet on 9 Feb.

Policemen had found the chalet locked from the inside and discovered the two women in the bathroom with their clothing intact.

As charcoal was found in the house and ashes were found in the bathroom, it is believed that the two could have committed suicide together by burning charcoal.

The police have also ruled out foul play in their deaths.

Reporters visited Cai's wake at a void deck in Jurong East and spoke to the deceased's uncle, Mr Cai Qing Yi (age 58).

According to him, the family is having a hard time dealing with Cai's sudden death.

Cai, who was studying in NUS, had appeared to be in a very good mood when she left for the chalet.
