www.therakyatpost.com

A group of four armed robbers stormed a house in Taman Sri Andalas, Klang, around 8.45am yesterday.

In several clips of the CCTV video, the masked robbers could be seen quickly exiting a dark-coloured car and running into the house compound.

A woman who was standing in front of the main door quickly pulled the door grill shut when she saw them coming.
After a brief struggle, the robbers managed to pry open the grill, and it caused the occupants of the home to fall to the ground.

According to The Star, the robbers confined the three family members, a man and two women, aged between 44 and 88, in the master bedroom.

They snatched away the necklaces worn by two of the victims and ransacked the whole house and the victims’ bags.

They managed to flee with some jewellery with an estimated worth of RM24,000, a cellphone, and RM800 in cash.

One of the victims also rushed out of the home in a bid to stop the robbers from driving away.

South Klang OCPD Assistant Commissioner Cha Hoong Fong said one of the victims suffered injuries to a finger while holding on to the door as the robbers tried to enter the premises.

The police also believe the robbers arrived in a car with a fake number plate and said the robbers wielded machetes.

Anyone with information regarding the case is advised to call the Klang district police headquarters at 03-3376 2222 or the nearest police station.

The case is being investigated under Sections 395 and 397 of the Penal Code for robbery, which carries a jail term of up to 20 years, a fine and a whipping.
