I did my National Service in this unit SFLS. The reason why it's pretty similar to USA's Ranger school is because SFLS also conducts Singapore's Ranger course, which was adapted from the US Ranger course. Also the reason why it's just 2 weeks is because it's just a selection course for the actual Special Forces Qualification Course which is 8 months.

For now I call it Special Forces wannabe, because if you can't pull a trigger at a child looking into their eyes, you are Spastic Forces.
