KUALA SELANGOR: A five-year-old child escaped with slight injuries after a car reversed into her.
Kuala Selangor deputy OCPD Deputy Supt Mohd Ambia Nordin said the incident occurred in Puncak Alam on Tuesday (Sept 5).
"The driver, in his 30s, was reversing his car into a parking space in front of a pet food outlet.
"He accidentally stepped on the acceleration pedal (too hard), leading the car to reverse at speed and crashed into a five-year-old girl walking on the pathway and the entrance of the shop," DSP Mohd Ambia revealed.
He said the girl, who suffered light injuries to the face, has been discharged from Hospital Al-Sultan Abdullah, Universiti Teknologi Mara at 8.30am today (Sept 6).
DSP Mohd Ambia said no arrests have been made yet.
