Rather than being "touched" by the clip, I came away with this impression that this is a very selfish and very irresponsible father and wife.
Just because of his belief and ambition, he made his family suffer - for what? He had his chances but failed badly in open elections - and he knows he has little support from the people of Singapore. His first step to political failure was to usurp power from his political mentor rather than to learn from them - that speaks a lot about his ambition. He should gain the ground support through more sincere efforts than to try to gain sympathy and knock his head against solid walls. Please lah, he should use your head in a more appropriate way to win the hearts and minds of practical Singaporeans.
Will he be the PM of Singapore? Not by a thousand years!
